Tor is 95 pounds of unbridled affection. He’s lap dog, show dog, race dog as well as best friend to Silken Windhound Teddy. They mouth wrestle and play alligator teeth in the house, but outside it’s no-holds-barred games of chase. It’s rough sport for Teddy, but he’s up to it.

Tor inherited his mother’s love of racing as well as her speed. He’s slowing down now at six years, but is still competitive. In 2006, he brought the Fairchild Perpetual Trophy for Excellence in Racing back to the West Coast. The trophy originated with the Deerhound Sporting Club in 1997 and was initially won by Tor’s mother in 1997 and again in 1998.

EXTRA! EXTRA!
Whoo hoo for Lilibet! She earned her first ever LGRA point in April 2008!

Lilibet, despite her “Princess” title, is a tomboy at heart and is almost always part of the daily rough-and-tumble. An incident which left her with a very slight paralysis in one leg has kept Lilibet from the show ring, but hasn’t diminished her zest for life or her ability to race alongside the others. Since Lili prefers the natural look of feathers on her ears, not being a show dog is fine with her.
